And Now You Know

After being married to my soulmate, Frank, for twenty-nine years, on January 30, 1997, I suddenly became a widow. At the time of Frank’s sudden death, we owned and operated a Florist together in Bay City, Texas, and Frank also worked full time for Phillips 66 Refinery in Old Ocean, Texas. Frank and I lived in Sweeny, Texas, which is located about twenty-two miles from Bay City. A Priceless Letter

When I checked the mail on Monday, March 25, 2019, I had received an extraordinary piece of mail.  After opening the envelope and reading a message written in cursive writing inside the card, it moved me to tears. Emotions run rampant as you write about real life experiences. I knew this,...

Writing a True Love Memoir

When you are writing a Memoir about a true love shared with your soulmate, it can be the most beautiful experience but it can be heartbreaking at times. Frank and I married at age eighteen.  We were married for nearly twenty-nine years when suddenly he was struck ill and died within six days of that illness at the age of forty-seven. While writing our love story and remembering the fun times we had together, I enter into a time machine going back to that period.   Actually, I see us together as if a spectator.  Actually, the best way I can describe this would be to compare it to the same...
