The Soldier

The Soldier I am wet and cold, but I forge ahead. I am tired and hungry, but I am not dead. I am nervous and scared, but I fight for you. I am lonely and miss home, but this I must do. I am a soldier among many in a foreign land. I am a child of God and He holds my hand.        By Lou 11/11/2020 Visits: 77

Audio Excerpt, Chapter 40, Broken Hearts from “Love and Marriage”

Audio Excerpt from Love & Marriage: The Love Story of Nancy & Frank. I thought it might be fun and exciting to try to and record a chapter of my first book with me as the reader. I randomly chose a chapter, which was Chapter 40 in Love and Marriage, named Broken Hearts. Mr. Christmas spent hours drawing up a diagram of where he wanted to place lights on the outside of our home.  The lights were the big old-timey multicolored on green wire...

I Want to be Reminded of Lilacs

Why would I want to be reminded of Lilacs? What do they symbolize, and do their colors have special meanings? I did not know a lot about these beautiful flowers and what they symbolize until a friend commented on a blog I wrote named,  My Soulmate Love for Eternity. In this blog, I spoke of the beauty of having a soulmate, a real deep, pure love. A love where we became so close to one another that we had grown like one strand of tightly woven yarn, having one heart and soul.  A love that has transcended through all time, all dimensions, and shared for eternity. A love that so connected that...

Soul & Inspiration, DIY Widow

What Spoke to my Soul and Heart to Inspire Me. As a young child I was very shy but after becoming a teenage most of that shyness went away. In seventh grade, I decided to write a small book consisting of pictures I had drawn with a love story all of which had been drawn and written on notebook paper with staples for a binder.  Of course, I knew nothing about love but I was in love with the “ideal” of love. In Junior High and High School, I tried to keep a Diary but realized fairly quickly, with four brothers in the house, that there would be zero privacy for those written pages....
