As you know from the last chapter, Frank has been asking me lots of questions that I have not answered. I made Frank a cassette tape then sent it to him with some of the answers to his questions and some other things that had been going on in my life. Frank had been in a good mood until receiving my letter which had been delayed in the mail. With mail delivery so mixed up at times, it was very hard for us to communicate but even with normal ten-day delays in receiving letters, our moods would already have changed by the time we got another letter. We just never knew what to expect in a letter but we learned to work at holding back our reactions to a five-day-old letter. I was so excited that Frank had finally received his pocket watch. After receiving Frank’s letter, reading it, and seeing in his writing how excited he was about the watch, I was really happy.
