Your Are Special

A Smiling young Boy

You Are Special

You are a special young man to me,

and came into my life when you were less than three.

Big brown eyes, brown hair with a magnificent smile,

you melted my heart in a very short while.

Soon by God’s loving plan and grace,

You became my Great Grandson bringing an even bigger smile to my face.

Remember the ice bucket challenge that we decided to do?

That bucket of ice water was nearly as big as you,

but that didn’t stop you from dumping that water,

and I still remember your amazing laughter,

Together we have played in my backyard, and I watched you swim in my pool,

It was a sad day in my heart when you were old enough for school.

I have watched you play many sports these last few years,

and you have done your best without any fears.

You are now nine years old and growing up so fast,

and I truly want to make each moment with you last.

I see you helping out with your brother and sister,

Although it’s not easy, I am so proud of you, mister.

You will make mistakes in this life, we all do.

None of us are perfect, and I know this to be true.

Remember you are unique and special just the way you are

God made you and blessed you to be a shining star.

Surely by now, you can see,

Just how very loved and special, you are to me.

  1. Que Preciosa!!!! As much as you feel truly blessed to have him in your life I’m doubly sure he will also know the same feelings.

    • Thank you so much, Kim. I love him so much. He is so smart and actually very quiet until you get him one on one. He loves to read and is really into technology. God has given him so many beautiful gifts, and I can not wait to see what he becomes as he grows older.
Thank you so much for commenting, you are a very dear friend.
      God Bless You,
      Nancy
